Stanislaw Baj - "Matka" ("Mother")

 

Stanislaw Baj was born in Dolhobrody by Bug river (eastern part of Poland). He graduated for high school in Zamosc (1973 ) and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1978). His diploma work with distinction was made in atelier of Prof. Ludwik Maciag. Now he is a professor and a vice-president of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

On Saturday, June the 28th there was an opening of the Stanislaw Baj's exhibition in Muzeum Chełmskie, Chelm, Poland. The title of the exhibition was "Matka" ("Mother") and was a presentation of several paintings and drawind of his mother. The opening coincided with the jublee of 30 years creative work of the artist.

The opening gathered a lot of local community, family members, friends, including proffessors of the art academies. A theme of the exhibition - mother is very intimate to everybody. His point of view on it is very personal and universal at the same time, and gives everygody very strong, unforgetable impressions.
